More Than Just Pie: How Pumpkin Can Transform Your Dishes This Fall

Pumpkin pie is a favorite that every baking and pastry arts enthusiast strives to perfect. However, there are plenty of other ways of using this beloved gourd to add seasonal flair to a meal. Look for creative ways of incorporating pumpkin into your dishes, starting with these recipes:

Prepare a roasted pumpkin salad

Start by peeling 12 ounces of pumpkin, removing the seeds and cutting into half-inch cubes. Set the cubes on a baking sheet and toss in a mixture of sugar, salt, thyme, garlic and olive oil. Then, roast in an oven set to 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes, or until the pieces are tender and lightly browned.
