Austin’s Goodall’s Kitchen & Bar To Open In Late September

Any attendee of an online culinary school would benefit from visiting a newly opened restaurant. Formerly known as Mansion at Judge’s Hill, the rebranded Hotel Ella is set to re-launch its flagship eatery. The Austin-based institution is called Goodall’s Kitchen & Bar, and Eater reports it will have its own theme separate from the hotel.

Hotel Ella’s recently appointed executive chef Scott Mechura will head up the main restaurant in addition to overseeing the overall food and beverage program. He is a member of the James Beard Foundation, and has worked with celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain to develop a 100-person dinner.

“Mechura plans to debut a menu of progressive American cuisine featuring high-quality ingredients from superior purveyors locally and from around the country,” Hotel Ella released in a statement. “Guests will enjoy inventive dishes from the chef that delicately balance texture and color with unique flavor combinations from around the world.”

According to Eater, the restaurant is set to open in the third week of September, and the menu includes pan seared gulf grouper with crispy prosciutto and cinnamon smoked duck. The hotel and restaurant will offer upscale, casual and outdoor veranda dining options.
