Celebrating One Year Of Online Culinary Education
Escoffier Online Celebrates One Year Anniversary With Special Guests Michel Escoffier & Jeremiah Tower
On August 20th, Escoffier Online celebrated its one year anniversary. A private reception honoring the anniversary was held at Alliance Francaise de Chicago. Special guests, Michel Escoffier, the great-grandson of master chef Auguste Escoffier – the school’s name sake – and Jeremiah Tower, the father of American cuisine were in attendance to discuss the past, present and future of culinary education.
During the reception, executives from Escoffier Online International Culinary Academy provided a demonstration of the web-based school as well as discussed expansion plans, which include the newly launched culinary program in Spanish.
Escoffier Online students from the Chicagoland area were able to attend the event and meet their chef mentors that have been guiding them throughout the program. For those that were unable to attend, a live stream of the event was provided so they too could be a part of this next generation of culinary education! You can view this video stream below.
Anne Gulotta, who attended enthusiastically stated, “The Escoffier reception on Tuesday night at the Alliance Francaise de Chicago was a grand celebration of the fine accomplishments of students and chefs of the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts and Escoffier Online . I was honored to be in the company of such accomplished chefs as Jeremiah Tower and to talk with Michel Escoffier, the Great Grandson of Auguste Escoffier. I’m proud to be the first enthusiast to have graduated from the online school, and look forward to expanding my knowledge of pastry and baking this fall. The experience taught me that I can continuously evolve in the culinary arts.”
The night was also spent celebrating the induction of new Escoffier Disciples. Escoffier Online and Triumph Higher Education sponsored the induction of four new members. Randall Sansom, Chief Academic Officer of Triumph Higher Education, Jeremiah Tower, Father of American Cuisine, Didier Durand, owner of Cyrano’s Farm Kitchen, and Rino Baglio, Restaurant Executive Chef JW Marriott Indianapolis were of the four inductees. Congratulations to the new Escoffier Disciples! To view the complete induction click here.
We are looking forward to the future of culinary education and helping those turn their passion for cooking or baking into a career!
